CTD Explanatory Poster

Created for the Western Flyer Foundation to showcase and educate on the capabilities of the CTD instrument that would be used on the research vessel.
After reviewing desired elements that they were hoping to make clear, I decided that having the instrument look as though it was moving down through the water in a dynamic way, using 3 point perspective, would support them in sharing how the instrument measured conductivity and temperature at increasing depth.
After completing this piece, they loved the icon element of the poster so much they inquired about icons for the research instruments they used. I ended up creating icons for two of their research instruments, including one of the CTD. The other was of the ROV, remotely operated vehicle, that they had just got in to start using. These vector icons were made in Adobe Illustrator and will be used my the foundation in their education of how they use these instruments.
