Photo Anonymization Process
A graduate student from Syracuse University commissioned me to anonymize some community service images that she wanted to include in her thesis on oyster management across Long Island. These photos were taken by community members who participated in oyster services and submitted the images as a part of the project. To protect their identity, my client wanted to anonymize the people in a artistic way. After some idea generation, we landed on this silhouetted collage look with ink outlines. This fun and unique project allowed me to explore a new area of science communication that I had not yet, and got my creative mind jogging with fun ways to cover identity while retaining the joy and humanistic qualities captured in these photos.
